It's the 1st song B-side of their debut album "...till night comes again" back in the 1986. The album cover photo is taken in Staglieno cemetery in Genova, Italy, a place where Joy Division used for their album artwork as well, remember Joy Division's album "Closer" ? Those were the days, enjoy!
The Tripps - Green Bottle

The Tripps were a three-piece from Sydney, Australia. Geoffrey Forrester was bass and vocals, David Smith was on drums, and Jonathon Pritchard guitar and vocals. Green Bottle is the closing track of the lost and forgotten compilation "On the Waterfront" (1986) by the Waterfront indie label (was started in 1982 by Steven Stavrakis based in Sydney) Enjoy!

MOOD SIX - Brief Encounter
Переглядів 2,2 тис.13 років тому
Mood Six, 1981, London, Uk. One of the most acclaimed bands of the called British New Psychedelic Rock. In 1984 their debut LP "The difference is..." is released, one of the best albums ever from the 80s, ten fantastic songs 'Plastic Flowers", 'She's too far out' among them.
Fallen Angels - Hey Susie!
Переглядів 6 тис.13 років тому
From the LP "In Loving Memory" 1986. The Fallen Angels was formed in 1984 with Knox (singer/songwriter from the Vibrators) on vocals and guitar, with the Hanoi Rocks rhythm section of Sam Yaffa on bass, the late Razzle on drums, and Nasty Suicide on rhythm and some lead guitar. Also guesting on the first album were Cosmic Ted and the Psychedelic Kid, (Mike Monroe and Andy McCoy respectively). T...
It's mid-June 2024, and once again I meet up with what has become a dear friend, in the form of this song - which has made it a habit of popping up in random playlist mixes generated by UA-cam. It's been that way for the past 4 or 5 years now, at least... But I'm certainly not complaining. 😘
Amazing tune. I remember buying the album and this was and still is fave. The Times version on their Boys About Town 12" is pretty awesome too!
This song it's very nostalgic for me, i used to play it before going to school
Very interesting track, really original.
Knox really knows/knew how to write a melody. I listen to his music often.
Lovely song
I am getting some crystal ship / Doors vibes from this. Long Live indie bands...
This is insane
Is this originally written By Durutti Column?
This is a true masterpiece. I like how the musical arrangements are nothing like what was "in" the 80s. It's kinda dark and melancolic but brightening at the same time. Knox is a musical genius.
And to think, I didn't even know that Avocados could sing, but this one is right at the peak of ripeness b/c the singing is delicious.
Incredible how good this is
Could someone write the lyrics of this song in comments please? My listening english is not so good enough
A blazing example of what punk did to the music INDUSTRY!! A piece of pure music, so very pleased to have been an impressionable teenager at the time. Got to enjoy/admire the greats (led zep etc) later, but this was for us.
Got the single!
i was here
This song blew up and everyone loved it
Just amazing! Both songs are great! Still sound fresh and dangerous.
Really nice song, and nice tribute.
Poetry!
So sad there are only 2 songs in existence, brilliant.
This is fantastic!
Good song, never heard before!
I am 55 now and am sure I owned this. Sleeve was twice folded from one sheet and i played the a side (art nouveau) to death for a while. Original sadly lost in time. I did love it though.
This is a bop :D
new favorite band.
this is me, discovering a song for the first time..love this!!
very Monochrome Set
=)
My favorite song! 😊✨💖
i was slicing up an avocado....
What a great voice
The feeling you get when time slows down just a bit...that special "aha" moment.
God look at those little shrimps go
your sincerety is so feelable
Drums and keyboards on this album were played by Knox's cousin, Richard Wernham (A.K.A. Ricky Slaughter, ex-The Snakes and ex-The Motors). Great album.
Never knew, somobody posted one of our early recordings... it's okay by me. Greetings, Bob

Random find, so glad I found it though. That bass gets me. Damn...
"i should have realised you were true i bit off more than i could chew you were right and i was wrong should've stayed where i belonged and i never knew now what am i supposed to do ⠀ i wish i could take back all i said why did i have to lose my head i thought i had you all worked out i'm a terrible judge without a doubt and i never knew now what am i supposed to do you were too good to be true and i thought i'd end up losing you and that's why i didn't trust you and then it's when i think of my stupidity i have to flinch and it's because i never knew now what am i supposed to do and i never knew now what am i supposed to do ⠀ i didn't realise you were true i bit off more than i could chew you were right and i was wrong should've stayed where i belonged ⠀ and i never knew now what am i supposed to do and i never knew now what am i supposed to do and i never knew now what am i supposed to do and i never knew now what am i supposed to do."
thanks for the lyrics!
not sure if they're right, just what i hear :$
Pretty much spot on.
Are you Etta the vocalist of the Avocados?!
Etta Saunders Doncha mean spot prawn? Since the shrimp cocktail has largely disappeared from the American diet since this was released, like to imagine some clever young music geek trying to find a deconstructed sushi joke somewhere in the album;)
Art love...
:)
